You spend a good portion of your life styling your hair and applying makeup. You think you look great, and you do! But, there’s one part of your face you may be neglecting: your eyebrows. Clean, shaped eyebrows make your face look polished and give your eyes the attention they deserve.
Shaping your eyebrows by yourself can be a daunting task. You may be wondering if it’s even possible. It is! All you need to do is have a good pair of tweezers and follow these simple steps:
1. Use an eyebrow brush to comb your eyebrow hairs into one direction. Use a small scissors to trim any long hairs to a manageable level.
2. Figure out how long your eyebrows should be. Your eyebrow should start parallel to the inner corner of your eye. Your eyebrow should end at about a 45-degree angle from the outer corner of your eye.
3. Find the natural arch of your eyebrow. This will be the highest point of your eyebrow. Then take an eyebrow pencil and mark the brow from the desired start to end. Note that your eyebrow should be thicker at the beginning than at the end.
4. Pull your skin taut and pluck any hairs that don’t fall into your eyebrow-penciled outline. Pay special attention to the area between your eyes and refrain from plucking any non-stray hairs from above your brow.
5. After you’ve finished plucking, swab a cotton ball soaked in toner across your brows. This will help soothe your skin and alleviate redness.
Luckily, maintaining your brows is easier after you pluck the first time. All you have to do is continually check your brow area for new hairs and pluck them as they grow. That way you’ll always have beautifully-shaped brows that others will envy!
